America I AM
Presented by Tavis Smiley, the traveling exhibition America I AM opened in January 2009 at Philadelphia’s National Constitution Center. It chronicles the numerous unique contributions made to the United States by African Americans. Lexington technically designed and built this 10,000 sq. ft. exhibition in such a way that it could be reconfigured easily as it traveled to different sites around the country. Once again, Lexington’s expertise with creating specialty casework proved invaluable to presenting and protecting the one-of-a-kind artifacts featured in the exhibit, including the Birmingham jail cell lock and key used to hold Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., in 1963.

Tutankhamun: The Golden King and the Great Pharaohs
After the overwhelming success of the first King Tut Touring exhibition in 2005, which Lexington designed and built with Arts and Exhibitions International, a second touring exhibition began traveling in 2008. Once again, Lexington was called upon to realize the vision of sharing the famous Tutankhamun archeological finds with the world. The company designed and built this internationally recognized touring event, including all of its specialty casework and scenic elements.
As with the first, this second King Tut exhibit displayed priceless artifacts that required precise and special care. Lexington coordinated a team of designers, architects, facilities professionals, multiple specialty vendors, including media and AV integration specialists, along with antiquities consultants to work together to produce and install the exhibit’s exquisite pieces.

Real Pirates
"Real Pirates: The Untold Story of the Whydah from Slave Ship to Pirate Ship," a new exhibit organized by National Geographic and Arts and Exhibitions International (AEI) LLC, tells the compelling story of the Whydah, a real pirate ship that began as a slave ship, and the stories of the diverse people whose lives converged on the vessel. This exhibition marks the only time genuine artifacts excavated from the first fully-authenticated pirate ship ever discovered in American waters, have been on display on a national scale.
The development of initial concept sketches into a working traveling exhibition was achieved in five-months! Lexington design/built this 15,000 sf. traveling exhibition which features a 1,200 sf replica of the Whydah which visitors enter and travel through the hull, captain’s quarters, main deck, and below deck. All these areas are propped with fabricated replicas of items found with the recovered vessel, and through historic illustrations and research

Toyota Hybrid Tour
Lexington technically designed and built the immersive interiors, numerous state-of-the-art hands-on interactive exhibits, reading rails and all graphics for Toyota’s Highway to the Future: Mobile Hybrid Experience in a highly compressed two-month schedule. During this 18-month campaign the two identical 50-ft x 25-ft trailers traveled separately to more than 150 events including state fairs, auto shows, museums, environmental gatherings and other venues. Visitors to the trailers could interact with digital exhibits on how hybrid vehicles operate, the technology's benefit to the environment and how alternative fuels such as ethanol can help reduce harmful emissions.

Titanic Official Movie Tour
This traveling exhibition was on a three-year tour of Europe and featured movie props, two multimedia theaters, interactives of CGI film techniques, and re-created sets of fully-detailed interiors of the famous ship prior to its demise. It also showed the underwater environment surrounding the shipwreck upon discovery.
