ESPN West Coast Broadcast Center
Lexington technically designed and fabricated the brand new ESPN show set in Los Angeles, CA, marking the opening of the network’s West Coast headquarters. We worked with the design teams of ESPN and JackMorton/PDG to give the studio a bold, fresh look that advances the exciting ESPN brand.
The ESPN West Coast Broadcast Center sets are built for High Definition broadcast and use museum quality finishes and details. The 3,000 sf set includes acrylic louvers and graphic light boxes to create depth while painted ultraviolet logos seem to “float” on the set walls. The set also makes extensive use of multiple back-lit graphics and employs backlit duratrans LED lighting in the desk with edge-lit, etched acrylic panels. Soffits that include rows of multiple-colored LED lighting create an overall dynamic color effect.
