Lexington worked with Innovative Dining Group to create this uniquely beautiful ceiling and Robata Bar. About 5,000 tassels hang from the ceiling beams to add color, texture, and light diffusion to the dining area. The Robata Bar is made of solid walnut planks. This project was completed in October 2007.

Lexington produced this 10-foot, candle bedecked Buddha sculpture that dominates the dining room at Buddakan, a trendy new restaurant in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Shawn Hausman was responsible for the design of this restaurant, which opened in September 2006.

Sushi Roku Las Vegas
Lexington worked with concept designer Dodd Mitchell to create unique Zen-like elements that distinguish this critically acclaimed contemporary eatery. Mirroring the carved wood blocks that cover the restaurant’s walls, Lexington created matching concrete blocks with same intricate design and detail. We also technically designed and fabricated a series of maple veneered long rectangular tubes, which hang like wind chimes by the restaurant’s windows.

Balboa Lounge and Restaurant is located on Sunset Boulevard, in the historic Grafton Hotel. The hotel lobby is bordered on either side by an intimate dining room and a full service lounge on the other. Design development, fabrication, and installation of the interior elements were completed in collaboration among the architect, interior designer, contractor and Lexington. The Lounge has interior surfaces made up of custom burled walnut and aluminum paneling, a mosaic made of leather panels and bordered with an antique mirror ceiling. To make the most of a very tight space, Lexington created custom leather banquettes to maximize seating. A custom drink table created with stands of stainless steel ball chain adds a dramatic centerpiece to the eclectic environment.

Custom leather banquettes line the walls of the dining room with padded leather pillows extending to the ceiling line to add height to the intimate space. The bar counter top is created from end grain walnut butcher block. The space is divided into small settings, each with its own spatial feeling.

"This is a thoroughly exciting restaurant with a wonderfully modern vibe... This isn't a grand old room awash with beefy leather booths and business suits. It is a feng shui matchbox partitioned by South Carolina twigs and psychedelic glass, with walls of marble, glass panels and camel brown leather squares."

There's a level of Hollywood cool exuded by BOA Steakhouse. With locations in Santa Monica and at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, the award-winning restaurants exhibit an urbanite modern setting both relaxed and fashionable.

Lexington's work distinguishes both locations. Upon entering, multi-colored acrylic lighting fixtures create a soft vertical design accent to the dimly lit décor of stainless steel and amber. These unique acrylic block lamps are made of stacked thin layers of rainbow colored hollow squares. The custom rectangular shapes house soft lights that bring the myriad of colors to life. The lamps secure to floor-to-ceiling stainless steel poles that rest in a light-box base of blue chunk glass.

Overhead in the main dining room are magnificent asymmetrical multicolor acrylic fixtures casting a soft light on winter-white bare trees which divide the dining space. Wooden slat dividers run along the long wall of the restaurant creating texture and depth.

"Chief designers DG Worldwide, the folks behind Chelsea's chic XL lounge, have imported that nightspot's minimal feel but kept patron comfort in mind. From your first steps into the space, it is quickly apparent you are in the first New York mega-club of the new millennium."

Katana is a sushi-robata grill restaurant located in the historic Piazza del Sol building on Sunset Boulevard. The service bar is a geometric sculpture taking its form from a natural cavern; the shapes are created of wood and covered with a layer of a cementious mixture, giving it a monolithic form. The tabletops are custom made of redwood sealed in resin. A steel plate riddled with holes and filled with an orange resin is backlight to create a "floating" floor. A large lighting fixture fills the dining room with the warm glow through silk lanterns. A sculptural wall made of colored resin cubes divide the dining room from the sushi bar.
